Facts Regarding Web Positioning & Search Engines Simply putting in a page description, adding a few key words for meta tags (even a lot of keywords) and then submitting your site to a group of Search Engines will not necessarily get you the rankings you may be expecting or hoping for (often far from it). Search Engines are constantly changing the rules they use to rank websites (to stop unethical page spamming & undeserved high rankings). Your competition is trying to stay ahead of you with their website ranking and are likely to be using WP consultants to assist with this (particularly if you notice that their website ranks highly). Search Engines (in many cases) will start to drop your website from their listings after as little as one month. Web Positioning is a challenge even for the professionals, which is why it is now a separate specialised field. It has evolved to the point where specialised WP software is required just to keep pace with the workload & rule changes. The software is "fluid", requiring regular updates containing the latest Search Engine "ranking rule changes", tips and other data that is critical to maintaining top rankings.
